This is taken from an Italian newspaper article from a while back and I decided to translate it the best I could. Enjoy.

WOMEN...

1.If you think you are fat, it is most probably true. Don't ask me. I will refuse to answer you.

2.If you want something, ask for it. US MEN, WE ARE NOT COMPLICATED!

3.If you ask a question of which you don't want to hear the answer, don't be surprised listening to the answer you didn't want to hear.

4.If I ask you to pass me the bread, for the love of god, i'm just asking if you can pass me the bread. I am not insinuating that you did not put bread on the table.

5.Sometimes, I don't think of you. There's nothing wrong with that. Please, get used to this. Don't ask me what i'm thinking, unless YOU want to talk about politics, economics, football, or sports cars.

6.Sunday=Barbeque=Pizza=Friends=Football. It's like the full moon or the tide, they can't be avoided.

7.Shopping is not fun.

8.When we go out together, absolutely anything you wear looks good. No really, it does.

9.You already have enough clothes, enough shoes. Crying about it is just blackmail.

10.Most of us men have 3 pairs of shoes. Why would you think we are needed when you need to choose which of your 32 pairs looks better on you.

11.Simple answers like YES and NO are perfectly acceptable to answer any kind of question.

12.Come to me with one problem at a time, if you want help, i'm here for you. Don't ask me for help if it is just for empathy as if I was one of your lifetime girlfriends.

13.A 17 month long headache is a serious problem. Go see a doctor.

14.If something I said can be interpreted in two different ways and one of them makes you depressed, or makes you angry, then probably my intention was to say the other.

15.ALL us men see 16 colors. Lavender and Magenta are not colors.

16.Beer excites us just as much as bags do for you.

17.If I ask you if something's wrong and you answer "nothing", I will believe you and I will act as I would normally.

18.Don't ask me if I love you. If I didn't, I would be somewhere else.Without you.

19.In general: If you have any kind of doubt on us men, think of the easiest answer. Us men...we are really simple.

Holy Snapping Duck Do! I just climbed out from under my rock and realised I have not updated this since petrol was cheaper than a bottle of Grange!... You would not believe the amount of people that are totally stalking me. Truly!.

I am overwhelmed with setting fire to people wearing Crocs, homeschooling five children, just generally being scary to various lawyers I met recently, my day is filled with fluorescent light from sun-up to I run out of alcohol. I am beyond drunk most of the time. I need some perspective.

I probably won't blog until the next time booze prices go up and I have to get sober for a while. What? Or if he morphs into an a$$..

Job and other things

Well since January a lot of things happened.
I have finally found a job! YAY! I now work for a bank "Banca Popolare di Intra" , a small bank that was recently bought by "Veneto Banca". I work in Intra ( a very nice little town on Lake maggiore. Will post a picture.) and i am a credit analyst. In other words i analyse balance sheets and other documents in order to decide if we should loan money to a certain business or not. I've been working there for 6 months now and in December my contract ends. Hopefully i'll have done a good job and they'll renew it.
Apart from all that news I have more recently bought a new guitar and i'm completely amazed at how good it sounds. It's an Epiphone Les Paul 100 and it was so cheap! The picture shows old guitar vs. new. This doesn't mean i'll stop using the Fender! I'm planning to buy new pickups and customise it a bit into a more bluesy/jazzy type of soud. Will keep you updated!

OSFA BAND!

Finally settling back in Italy for a while. Been looking for jobs here and there but still unemployed. Recently, Lorenzo asked me if I was interested in playing in his group OSFA (One Size Fits All) as second guitar. I haven't touched my guitar in 2 years now but I though what the heck!A better opportunity to start playing again cannot be missed!

So yeah I am now a member of OSFA! We play indie covers mostly but the group has a few songs of their own. Me and Gloria

Well me and Gloria... We have known each other for 8 years now. She used to be a friend of a friend who came to the family's new year's eve party in 1999! Since then we became close friends. We soon spent a lot of time together and it seemed that something more than just friendship was happening between us. We were small and immature and a lot of stuff lead to us being angry and mean to each other. In the end we always managed to forgive each other (most of it was my fault and I don't know how she could stand me after some things i had told her back then). Last year, the 10th of august 2007 we decided to give our relationship a serious go! And here we are happily together finally a couple as it was meant to be from the start.

It's been a while since the last post as I went to Friuli for 2 weeks. Just before leaving Brinzio I went "trekking" around the Forests and we reached mount Chiusarella, where we could see all of the "Pianura padana". The first picture is Dino, Pietro's dog cooling down under the water tricking from the fountain. Second photo is on mount Chiusarella and the last two are from my house in Friuli.

Yup... I bought a trumpet. It was on offer and I couldn't resist. It's actually harder than I thought to play. I started out doing a classic scale C D E F G A and today I managed to play "Oh when the saints". I know it might seem easy on any other instrument but it was quite a challenge on the trumpet hehe. I have always loved music and recently I started playing my guitar again after having left it sitting there for a year. A friend of mine brought his drum set to my house and we created a small "recording studio" so to say downstairs in my garage. I play rythm guitar, Andrea aka Zio plays the solo guitar, Carlo plays the drums and Eros sings. We might play in town at a concert just for fun but Eros will not be able to be there so we're missing a singer. Today we played a few songs including Guns n Roses, ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, White Stripes, etc. I envy Andrea because he plays really well... I'm pretty jealous! tomorrow Andrea goes back home to Milan but he'll come back next weekend so we can play some more together. Here are the photos of us playing and the improvised music room!

Painted Alloy Wheels =O

Okay so yesterday I bought the right spray paint cans. 1 can used as a base for metals. The second can was the silver colour that goes on alloy wheels. I must say it came out very nice. As you can see I also painted the center silver. As soon as it dries though I will colour in the red arrow as it was originally. You can see how it was originally a few posts down in the photo. After the red paint they will be ready to be used :)

Clean Alloy Wheels

Coming back from the rafting trip I told my friend about the alloy wheel job i'm trying to do. He told me that they can be cleaned by "sanding" them and repainting them. But more importantly he said he had a "sander". It consists of a 160 bar hydro compressor cleaner or whatever the english name for that is, with a special nozzle that sucks in a special kind of sand. The sand is sprayed with water onto the wheel or whatever you want to sand and it scrapes off the dirt and paint. So now the alloy wheels are sparkling new and all they need is a new paint job. Gonna go today to check out paint and prices. In the meanwhile here is the "sanded" wheel! Click on it for a bigger pic.

Rafting in Valsesia

Yesterday I receive a call from a friend asking me if I wanted to go rafting. I told him I had no experience (although i have rowed in the past years) but he said it was his first time too (he's a rower as well). So me and five other friends drive to Valsesia, exactly to Alagna. You can find it on the map I posted. They gave us a half hour talk on how to understand the commands given by the "guide" (the boat was composed by 6 of us and a profiessional guide), and basic knowledge of how to ride a raft. They then drove us at the start of the river Sesia and we started our 1hour and a half ride down ripples and waves. We started a bit further south from Alagno and finisheda bit before Mollia (you can see it on the map). I must say it was a great and fun experience and we also stopped in certain places to dive off a 6 meter cliff into the water and also further on to swim with the current for a while. We paid 30 euros each and unfortunately I have no photos of the event as they wanted 8 euros each for a cd with the photos they had made...that would add up to 48 euros and they were not worth that amount of money so nobody wanted them in the end. I will however post a link to this beautiful place if you would like to try it out yourself. Here it is: Valsesia Rafting. It's a great experience even if you have never rafted before like me. All you need is a little courage! By the way it's not us in the photo :( but it is taken at the Sesia River.

New Wheels

As I said in a previouis post I recently cleaned up all the dirty alcoves in my garage and I found my childhood bike. What I didn't say is that I also found my father's old "centoventotto" 128 car's alloy wheels. He said he wanted to throw them away but I soon stopped him and told him I would take care of it. I cleaned them today, and i'm planning to put them onto my Fiat Punto as soon as I need a tyre change. One wheel is very dirty unfortunately and i'm going to try and find a solvent to clean it. The alloy wheels are "1000 Miglia" and you can see the symbol in the middle. The red paint has scraped off but i'm planning to repaint the middle in order to make it look a bit better. Hopefully I will be able to use these wheels once more as I think they would look great on my Punto. I'm going to post photos of an old Fiat 128 and also a photo of one of the alloy wheels. As for the second semifinal goes... Well what can I say. A very bad match yesterday between Portugal and France. It didn't even seem the two teams wanted to go to the finals. Boring... If France plays as bad as yesterday and Italy plays as good as it has in the last few matches we can certainly win the final! Fingers Crossed

Vola Italia Vola

After being taunted with whistles all through the match, with the Germans not giving the ball back when one of our players was on the floor, we still managed to win this suffered match. Throughout the game we played very well and missed 3 goals. First missed goal by Perrotta who didn't pass it to Toni. Then two posts. The match finishes 0-0 so the extra time kicks off. Italy seemed to have found hidden energies and since the start of extra time Germany got very scared. Second half of extra-time made it happen. 2 goals, the first by Grosso (who would've thought, even he couldn't believe what he had done), and second goal by Alex Del Piero. Truly amazing display of football. Finals here we come!!!!!
Yesterday I went to Milan as I had to attend a funeral of a friend's grandma.(Condoglianze Diego.Su di morale mi raccomando). I then had lunch with my father, and then whilst walking back to catch the train I stopped at the "American Bookstore" and I bought Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. As I loved the Da Vinci Code a friend told me that he liked this one even more so I decided to buy it. I have read the first 10 or 15 chapters and I can't seem to put it down. After I finish this book I think I'm going to start the Dragonlance series.

Ze French Won

Okay so the french won against an apathic Brasil. I have never seen such bad display of teamwork as yesterday. This demonstrates that Brasil is just a group of superstars that are not able to play together. At least I guess it's that. Ronaldinho was tackled as soon as he got the ball because nobody freed up for him to pass the ball. Everyone just stood still... Ronaldo....Well he just stands there and pats his big belly. Not the way to play Brasilian Football. France on the other hand played a great match. Zizou is just an amazing player even at the age of 34, pity he's leaving football next year. Rivery is another great player. Anyway enough about football.
Yesterday I finished painting 12 panels soooo there are24 left hehe. Well at least until i have to give a second hand of colour....Ah well I might just relax today and paint a few panels in the evening when it's cooler. Here in Italy it's boiling hot and there's also a drought as it hasn't rained in months. We can't even water the garden otherwise if they see they could give us a fine.
I was checking out blogs at random and I found this disgrace to humanity...Jessie-Ray@FMS... I mean what the hell is wrong wis these guys.... Ah well...Americans...

Here we come Germany!!!!!

Yesterday Italy won against the Ucraine 3-0. This sends us to the semifinals of the world cup against Germany. This is the first decent match Italy deserved to win. Zambrotta, Toni and Buffon are in my opinion 3 of the best players in our team and hopefully we will thrash germany next round. Finally it seems that they put themseleves into gear and are ready to play some real football for once. I also join the Italian team and the whole of Italy in giving all the best to Gianluca Pessotto, great football player who did not deserve what happened to him. He recently attempted suicide and has now been unconcious and in hospital for three days now. Nobody understands why he could've attempted suicide as it also happened the day he got a new job at Juventus as team manager or something like that. I just hope he lives through this because he has 2 kids and a beautiful wife to go back to.
Enough about Sports and sadness. I gotta go paint now :|

It's been quite the few months recently. Exams (went well), We won our division (southern conference), but failed to proceed as we lost our first playoff match!
I finally finished my second year at Uni so there is only one left to go. Good thing is that finally I can choose what modules to study next year. I have a choice of 8 between 2 semesters so 4 each, out of 15 or something.
I'm now in Italy for the holidays, but I will go back to England the 31st of August. Unofrtunately I haven't been able to find a job for the holidays but I have enough work to do around the house! We are making a new perimeter around the house which consists of 32 metal "barriers" each 2 meters long and guess what? I have to paint them! First with antirust then with colour.
Also while I was cleaning the garage I found my childhood bike hehe so I will post a photo of it. It is really old and I believe it was made in the 60s although I cannot be sure of that. Time to log off so here's the pic!

It's been a while

I haven't written in a while. I've been quite full of stuff to do between training and studying. Next Sunday we have our first match of the new semester at Brighton. It's also the same day of the superbowl. Luckily the superbowl is late at night so we will have time to come back to Guildford and watch it in Chancellor's (our Uni Pub) which have accepted to show the superbowl until late as they have bought a 24 hour licence and they can stay open on special occasions.
The photo I put up is Thales' 21st Birthday and we made a surprise party for him at his sister's house. In order from left it's Nina (she's on our course), Peter (my housemate), Thiago(friend of Peter), Debora(Thales' girlfriend), Thales (who you can barely see, and finally Thales' sister. It was a great night we had fun and danced samba, olè!

Exam results

Well, I just received my marks and my average for the first semester. I actually thought it was going to be very bad. That is why i promised myself I would work so much harder the second semester. I mean, what's the point of going to University if you don't put in the effort. Anyway I actually passed both exams, Microeconomics with 57% and Macroeconomics (the one I thought I failed) with 42%. I got 66% in Computing for Economics and 50% for econometrics.
These aren't amazing marks but I am quite happy they didn't go worse. I could be in a much worse position right now. My total average is 50%.
I can make that mark so much better during this semester. I believe in myself.
Especially now that we changed so many lecturers and they all look very competent. I actually listen to the whole lecture without being distracted and it looks to me as this semester things have changed and i'm up for getting a great mark at the end of the semester.
And I also started Training again. AH!The great pleasure of american football. We have a match in two weeks in Brighton and not many people are showing up to training. I hope that people who aren't bothered to train don't ruin this season for me and for all of us who train. We won 4 out of 4 games and we have a chance to get to the playoffs and maybe win but only if everyone shows up and trains...Hope everything goes well for me this year. I feel it will.!!

It's all going well. We had most of our lectures already and they all look interesting. We also have a team project to give in this year. The group is made up of me Thales Matthew Nina and Stefano. We have to think up of something to study about and then write a 3000 word report and an oral presentation. Stef though up of talking about the cost and benefits of hosting a worldcup. And as a reserve Thales thought about talking about the latest reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.
I also applied for another 3 jobs. The first is at the Regional Economics and Analysis Directorate, the Second is at SISU Capital Ltd as a support for equity analysts and the third is at Experian as a research assistant. They all sound interesting and i hope it all goes well.

First day back at Uni!

And here we go again. A new semester at hand and our first lecture of the week. Political Economy. Actually the name has nearly nothing to do with the course. It's actually a history of economics kind of thing. Starting from the 16th 17th century up to now analysing different views by famous economists. It looks interesting. At least the first lecture was. The book costs about £40 but i found a used one for £17 on amazon which is good. We also went to town to get some food and other stuff. I'm not going out tonight as tomorrow is the heaviest day of all. 6 hours of lectures non stop...can't wait....

Finally back in england and after 10 minutes into guildford I dropped all my luggage at home put my jacket on and went off to weatherspoon's to meet my friends, and on the way i stopped for a burger at the kebab shop. Am I really Italian or am I becoming an english person...
It's good to be back and i woke up quite early today as I have to go train at 11.
Well these christmas holidays have helped me a lot. I had time to relax, time to think and I spent quality time with my parents and family.
I also realised that Economics is not my passion. I mean I like Economics, and I like studying it but I realised it is not my passion. It's not what I want to be stuck with for the rest of my life. I am considering doing another degree...Maybe in Computer programming.
Well enough serious talk and let me publish a photo of my garden in Italy full of snow!!!

Well first of all HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!I'm in Italy now and in my small town there is only a 56k connection which means it is very slow. This is why i'm not writing much. I'll be back on the 14th of january so i'll start writing again soon enough.

Going Home

Well I now finished my exams finally. I've been relaxing today after a few weeks of study. You can see a photo here of my friend Stefano!!He's half austrian half Italian. He went out to Oceana in Kingston, a very big nightclub and he fell asleep on the duvet.
I'll be flying home on Saturday and sincerely I can't wait.

It's quite late now. I've been studying the whole day for my Macroeconomics exam tomorrow at 2.00. I still feel I need a bit of revision so i'll keep studying for an hour or two. I just might put in use those hours i can't seem to fall asleep in with some studying. I'll wake up tomorrow early, probably at 9 so I can revise a bit before the exam.
But the good news is that it's the last one! I am then free to only think about having fun and going home to see my family for Christmas....Can't wait
After the exam if I don't feel too ill we're going to have a huge tournament on Pro Evolution Soccer 5 at Stef's house including beers! We'll then all go to Kingston on a bus we all organized to have a fun night out and celebrate the end of the semester!I'll keep you posted with photos too!
Time to get back to studying now...

Exam Day!(Microeconomics)

I still cannot manage to sleep... Although having woken up at 9 to study all day and being really tired i cannot fall asleep. I fell asleep at about half 3 i think and woke up at 5 in the morning with an extremely painfull sore throat. I have never had such a huge soar throat! It felt like a knife at the back of my throat. I was actually considering going to the doctor's in the morning. I got up and made myself some camomile to soothen the pain. Luckily it worked a bit and i managed to fall back asleep untill 10 in the morning. As soon as I woke up I hurried to the chemist to buy some pain killers and paracetamol. The lady told me that if the pain does not decrease in three days to go see a doctor. I hope it decreases soon! I then ran back home to get my books, and ran all the way to campus to study for my exam at 5 o'clock.
I always, always get ill during exam times...every time i have a big test or exam I will be ill whatever the case. It's probably my body reacting to stress, and my immune system is more vulnerable.
At 5 we drag our tired legs to the Austin Pearce building where the exam was to be held and we wait...all worried as we knew it was going to be hard.
Luckily after 2 and a half hours I come out and feel relieved as I think it went better than what I was expecting.
I hope it all went well!And I also hope this cold of mine goes away FAST as I have another exam on wednesday...Macroeconomics and I need to study!

I woke up at 9 again this morning. Although having woken up at 9 the day before too and studied the whole day i still couldnt sleep. I only managed to fall asleep towards 4 in the morning...
Anyway, I studied for most of the morning and afternoon. Towards 6 o clock i went to the library to meet with Thales, Stef and Matthew to do some Tutorial questions to get ready for the exam. We just came back home to grab a bite watch some tv and later we'll go back to the library to tackle some more questions.
The exam is at 5 o'clock tomorrow so we also plan to wake up early tomorrow to revise some more.
Let's hope it goes well.
I must say my spirit is a bit higher than it was yesterday!

Studying to the power of 2

I've just stopped studying after 5 hours straight... Woke up this morning at 9 had a shower, went to town with Matthew bought the newspaper sat in Weatherspoons(a pub in the town center) and had breakfast. It was quite good. We were getting ready for a whole day's worth of studying. The Microeconomics exam is going to be on Friday. Supposedly it will be an exam with 12 long questions and we can choose 3 questions to do out of the total 12. Having had only 10 lectures i guess there's going to be a question per topic if not more. And I also guess they will be very very detailed. Just taking a break now but at 5 i'll study again till dinner time.

I woke up this morning at 10. Went on campus to give in my economic computing coursework. Hopefully this "early" wake up will let me sleep tonight. I'll try not to sleep this afternoon so I can be tired tonight and go to sleep fairly early. I have to get back to my normal sleeping schedule as exams are coming up and I need to do some serious studying. I won't be posting much in this period as I have to study a lot for these exams so I can finally go home in Italy and relax. Im pretty tired...

Economic computing 2

Yes it's economic computing again...
This is the second coursework we have to give in on monday for this course. It seems to be simpler to do but we have to write a three page report on our results achieved in comparing various data given in the excel sheet the lecturer provided us with. These variables include US dollars exchange value with different values, Treasury bills, Oil prices, Nasdaq and S&P500 volume of shares and other boring data. We have to find a relationship between these using excel functions and graphs. Hopefully I will have finished this by tomorrow as I have to study for a Microeconomics exam which is on friday. I should be alright.

I'm having problems sleeping. I try to sleep at 11 but can't so i wake up again at 1 in the morning and read or go on internet for a while and I still can't sleep. finally after a few hours i manage to fall asleep at 6 in the morning and wake up at 3 in the afternoon. I really need to get back to my normal sleeping mode. Hope it's nothing serious.

Unluckily yesterday's match let us all down. Charlton was finding it very difficult to keep the ball. Possession was greatly Blackburn's. Charlton managed to defend but seemed to struggle. We scored a goal before the end of the first half. Soon after a great start of the second half, charlton seemed to be the best team out there scoring another excellent goal. 2-0 up and we though we had won this match, this is what the players thought too unluckily,. In the last 20 minutes of play Charlton seemed to have given up, letting in their goal three shots because of silly mistakes. We could not believe that we lost 2-3 at the last minutes of the second half. Very disappointing.

Leaving the football away I now have to go as exams are coming up next week and I have to study quite a lot. I'll be in the library if anyone needs me :)

Charlton vs. Blackburn

As the title suggests, i'm going to go to London in an hour or so to watch Charlton at home playing against Blackburn in the Carling cup. Let's hope it's a good match.

I also received my Economic Computing Coursework back. This was the coursework that all of us only realised we had to give this in the day before the deadline and stayed up until 5 in the morning trying to finish it. Well me and Matthew (my housemate) both used the same data and same equations. We only differed in setting out our calculation, doing the macros on excel and the written questions. He got 45% and I got 66%. I complained about our lecturer to my tutor before receiving these marks as she is incompetent. Now Matthew is going to talk to John Wall, our tutor to see why his mark was so low. She only ticked all the answers and didn't explained why the stuff was wrong. I really don't know under what criteria she corrected these tests.

Have to get ready to leave for London now. I'll let you know how the match went!

Società Italiana

I had a great night out today! Yesterday night we casually met up with two italians from the Italian Society in Surrey University and we thought it would be fun to organise a nice pub crawl of the italian society! We ended up organising it for the day after which was today. Heeheh it was only 4 of us but we had fun anyway. I met lots of people from my american football team in Time (Guildfords nightclub).

I bought a new wallet today, as my old one was breaking apart and all the money kept falling on the floor from it hehe. Went to marks and spencers and found a new one! I also found a present for my father but I won't say what or he'll know hehe.

I also watched a film yesterday..."Dead Man Walking"...It talks about how this nun (Susan Sarandon) tries to redempt a sentenced to life convict (Sean Penn) before he is executed. I think it is one of my favourite films although it is the only one that makes me cry like a fountain every time I see it... It's just so sentimental, and it makes you think so much about how the death penalty is wrong even if a man is totally guilty. It's such a good film!

Surrey Stingers Vs. Royal Holloway

Just came back from the match all bruised and aching. We won 58 to 6!!!!! That makes it 4 wins out of 4 matches this semester. I think it is a very good start to the season and i think we will get to the playoffs. Well, I pray we get to the playoffs.
I actually played really well in this match. I caught a 40 yard touchdown, caught another 21 yard pass making a first down, rushed for positive 2 yards (hehe not much but hey i'm a receiver!), and tackled the kickoff returner twice. I'm very happy.
After the match i was also approached by one of the Surrey PA Knights (a first league team that is going to play in the Eurobowl this year) coaches and he asked me if I was staying in the UK after University and that if I was they wanted me to come down to training...hehe impressive.Although I still have 2 years and a half to go til I finish Uni.

Ah good stuff and now a well deserved rest. No more matches till February. And let's hope we go all the way. It would be a dream to become champions, and a first time for the Surrey Stingers I think!

London...what a town!

AAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhh.Just came back from Brixton and from my shiny haired friend Chiara's place! Had such a laugh today. Chiara introduced me to Bollywood movies, and I must say, they are pretty cool. Sometimes too cheesy and sentimental but the songs and dances are great! I also met Chiara's dad, which was good, as he's going to Sri Lanka for a while.How cool.

I bought a great T-shirt from a charity shop in Brixton for £1.75 hehe how cheap is that! Gotta love charity shops!

Chiara, her dad and I then went to watch a film at the Camden Town Odeon cinema. We watched "The Constant Gardener", a film about how a pharmaceutical company is testing out new medicines on third world countries with the excuse of providing medicines fo the sick. It was very good.

Gotta go now, and wish me luck for tomorrow's match!!!!!

Going To Chiara's

Woke up really late today. I somehow lost chiara's ( a very close friend of mine) phone number and could not arrange for us to see each other tomorrow. Luckily she called me and decided to meet on saturday as I also have to get my rucksack that I left at ther place in Brixton. I'm looking forward to see her as I always have fun up in London with her!

I'm also going to go see a football match next week: Charlton against Blackburn, Carling cup. Hopefully a good match. I support Charlton by the way. I'm not a football fanatic but I enjoy a good game once in a while.

Saw the Fifth Element again today. hehe What a funny film. Every time I watch it I find something funny that I hadn't seen before. And if i0m not wrong it's by a french director Luc Besson, the same person that directed Le Grand Bleu, Wasabi and Taxi. I like all of those apart from Taxi which I found to be quite bad. Another excellent film he directed quite recently was Banlieue 13, very good french action film.

Gotta go now but i'll let you know how the weekend goes. And wish me good luck against Royal Holloway on Sunday (my american football match). They're a new team created this year, and have lost 3 out of three matches. Let's not lose!

Thanksgiving American Football Party (Surrey Stingers)

Boy what a beard i've grown!!!!! It scares me! We had a thanksgiving party between us of the college football team. We just met up to have a few beers and watch the two matches on tv. I had lots of fun.
Had a chance to talk to my favourite quarterback Kang (he's the man!), and his girl. Kang, without you this team would not make it this far..You have talent!!!Keep doing your stuff and we'll get to the playoffs, luv ya man!!!!Here's a photo of Kang and his girl, don't they look really sweet?

Just came back from the test... I must say it did not go too well. I'm pretty sure it went pretty bad. Everyone came out of the room lobotomized. I wonder why John Wall's (the tutor) courses always end up with the most failures every year... Maybe he should rethink his teaching. Or maybe i'm just not up to it. I don't know. I just hope I don't ave to resit this course over the summer as it would mean giving up a lot of things. I never learn do I.

I'm currently taking a small break from studying...Matrices...Inverse matrix, matrix identities, transpose of a matrix, unit matrix etc etc. A whole world of boredom!! As you can see from the cover of the book the answer is YES!It is hard. And it's as big and heavy as a brick. I personally use it more as a doorstop hehe!

Well let's leave the boring stuff away!
I heard that from midnight today, new laws will be in action in the whole of the UK. All pubs will now have the possibility to remain open 24 hours (used to close at 11 o'clock) . This law is being introduced in order to stop binge drinking...Somehow , i don't think it will work. The UK has a very big drinking problem, and that is why pubs used to close at 11. Maybe the government just needs more money. Just think on how much more beer and alcohol will be sold with pubs open 24 hours and how much of the VAT on alcohol will go to the government. But hey I might be wrong...Maybe the binge drinking will stop. When one is told to not do things he will do them...maybe by letting one do what he wants one will realise after all that there was a reason for saying not to do that thing. Let's hope for the best, but i'm sure that for the first few weeks the english economy will go down drastically as everyone will be drunk :D

Latest films i've watched!

Lately i've been watching quite a few films.
What about bob? is an excellent film with Biill Murray. It's a comedy about how a neurotic man (bill murray) shows up at his psychiatrist's holiday home and changes his family's life. This is a very funny comedy and I enjoyed watching it. I think Bill Murray is a great comedian.
Jerry Maguire. What can I say...great film. I especially loved Renée Zellwegger in this film and loved all the relationship between her and Tom Cruise. It was just great. Zellwegger is very beautiful in this film and I think that she ruined herself so much playing in Bridget Jones' Diary as she played around too much with her body, gaining and losing weight in too little time!
Last Samurai. I know i know...another Tom Cruise Movie. But I must say this is his best performance yet. This film is absolutely great, especially for me. I have a great passion for Japanese culture, new and old. This film is very sentimental and all the actors in it are amazing. And what a great ending!
Out of these three films if I had to tell you which one to watch i'd say Last Samurai if you havent seen it. It will make you cry!

Well I have to go to bed now as it is very late and I have to study tomorrow...have a test on thursday...:( not happy bout it!

Finished test

Just came back from finishing my test. It actually went better than I expected. I woke up at 7 in the morning to study a bit before the exam and it proved to be an invaluable revision. I'm gonna relax this afternoon maybe watch a film or something but I'll have to start studying again later this evening as I have a maths coursework test on wednesday. This one is also worth 50% of the course. Hope it goes well.

It's nearly Christmas!! And i'm getting in a christmassy feeling. Although I miss my friends and family back in Italy. You know you're used to being with your family so much that during these holiday periods you really end up missing them. You know it's true what they say...You only learn what things and people mean to you once you don't see them anymore. When I was small I always thought I couldnt wait to leave and live alone. Now that I live thousands of kilometers away from my family studying at University I realise I was wrong. I do miss everyone but i'll see them soon enough. Going back to Italy on the 17th of December...about a month and a half left :)

We won the match!!

I have just come back from Norwich where i have played my best american football match in my 4 years carreer! The match ended Surrey Stingers 38 - 35 UEA Pirates, Surrey Stingers being my university team. Well we got mashed in the first half being two touchdowns away from UEA but after the coaches talked to us during the break we turned our heads on and reacted. We managed to score 24 points, in only the third quarter. Fourth quarter we were down 11 points from UEA until we scored. We then were 5 points away from them. A touchdown would have won us the game. We only had 32 seconds left on the clock. Our running back actually managed to get a touchdown on the last play and we won the game. I was crying, yes i'm not ashamed to say that! I cried because i gave it 100%, you know what i mean?When you give something 100% and victory is so hard to get it all builds up inside you and when victory is achieved it all blows out. Well this is one of the happiest days i've had in my last few months. Our team has won 3 out of 3 games and this might well become my first season that I get to play in the playoffs. Sorry about this post only on sport but that's all I will be doing every sunday of the week hehe.
I'll try and add some stuff to my blog as I have a bit of time but then I have to go straight to bed as I have to wake up early tomorrow to study for an Economic Data Analysis test worth 50% of the course. Well speak to you all soon!
